We’ve often thought about providing Form 8’s with their own Common Room but for a variety of reasons have always shied away.
With life a bit flat for the Form 8’s we’ve taken the plunge this year. Each Friday break they have their own snack bar (pot noodles are a hot favourite) and they have Golden Time for half of the Friday afternoon just like the Form 1’s and 2’s. A pre-requisite for strong academic progress is “happy, healthy”, not always easy to find in these restrictive times.
Quantitative easing seems to have helped raise morale and will hopefully keep the troops marching!
