With moments of joy in sparse supply we have to find every opportunity to celebrate. With this in mind today is December Eve (tenuous I know) and tomorrow officially heralds the onset of Christmas, especially for those of us who have resisted the temptation to put up their tree and decorations too early.

Our school tree (all 9ft of it) awaits its sparkly coat and teachers have their advent calendars ready to go on their walls.

Lydia has got the staff “Secret Santa” ceremony up and running and the filming of our two Christmas spectaculars begins in earnest today with the arrival of Duncan Sleightholme Media Productions.

The cavalry arrived at the end of the day in the shape of team PTFA who set about decorating the main Christmas Tree, aided and abetted by a very excited group of children.

It’s going to be a very different final two weeks of term but one we aim to make the very most of.
