Today provided the senior leadership team in school with a testing challenge that they passed with flying colours and gave us all a possible glimpse at future problems we might encounter.

Two members of the F5/6 school teaching bubble have had to isolate; one due to close contact with someone who is Covid positive and one who has children who are symptomatic.

To maintain our bubble “bio security” we very quickly split the group into one small group remaining in school who have both parents as key workers and one group reverting to live home schooling. By 9.30am the group at home were live at home with their teachers and life in school has carried on as normal. Full marks to the F5/6 teachers for their calmness under pressure – they did a really great job!

It is very possible that this will become a more common occurrence as cases spread, especially with the peak thought to be still several weeks away in our region.
