Our Pre-Prep love any opportunity to get creative. Mrs Thorpe is creating a new classroom display in Form 2 and the children invited me to have a go at making one of the fish. You can probably tell from the photo that they are made from foil but the secret to the authentic scale pattern eluded me.
Children pressed the foil on Duplo to imprint the pattern – magic!
One of my favourite plants in the garden each summer are sweet peas. We had 3 tepees of them last year and I enjoyed cutting them for months! At the end of last summer, Form 1 had the sense to collect the seeds here in the school garden. They even stored the seeds in their own hand decorated packets.
Today, our Head Gardener, Liz was helping children sow them – fingers crossed for another stunning display.
