Welcome back everyone! It is wonderful to have you all back after the Summer break. The dreadful weather we have had over the past 48 hours have certainly not dampened Sunninghill’s spirits! The children have been so excited to see each other, and having chatted to lots of the children and also to parents at the gate, it really does sound like most of you had a wonderful Summer! The children have come back very happy and excited about the term ahead – it’s definitely going to be a busy one.

We have welcomed lots of new children both in the prep school and also in our Little Robins Nursery. We have also welcomed lots of new staff this term, Mrs Noyce, our Head of English and Form 7 tutor, Mr Butcher, Head of Maths and Form 5 tutor, Mrs Gough, Form 4 tutor, Mr Cracknell, Form 3 Tutor and Miss Glover, Form 2 Tutor. We also welcome Ms Fazackarley, Mrs Sales and Ms Tregillus into our ever expanding Nursery team.

This morning in assembly we talked about super heroes, and how these come in all shapes and sizes. Specifically, doing kind deeds for others is what makes us all super heroes. Continuing on from the challenge I set for all the children at the end of term, I asked the children to report back to me on Monday with all the kind things they have done for others. I look forward to hearing what they have got up to!

We also welcomed our new school prefects and Head Boy, Louis and Head Girl, Scarlett. We know that they will all be wonderful role models and we are very proud of them all.

This week we were delighted to share the news that Laura Pitman, in our Little Robins Nursery, has just passed her NPQ in Early Years Leadership, Level 5. Laura has been working so hard towards this qualification for 2 years, and we are incredibly proud of her.

Next week we would love for you all to join us at our Welcome Back BBQ on Friday 13th September, from 3.30pm and remember that on Tuesday 10th September we also have the PTFA uniform sale from 3pm.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Best wishes

David
