It was a perfect day for our harvest festival at St Peter’s Church this morning. Our thanks to the Rev. Keith Magee for welcoming us to church, and to our Director of Music, Mrs Nolan-Stone for putting this lovely service together.
It was actually the first time we have celebrated harvest in church, and Junior Prep entertained us with a variety of songs and music items.
A parent, Mrs Woollam, has been coordinating our efforts to collect food donations to support the Portland Food Bank. She will be collecting these from school on Tuesday along with the collection money from the service.
Last week in assembly we looked at the important role food banks can play in supporting others in our community.
