As part of our preparation for a mid-COVID world we have completely reshaped sport for this term. Instead of separating boys and girls into their traditional autumn sports we are teaching four three week blocks to each form collectively. They’ll enjoy three weeks of hockey, netball, football/touch rugby and lacrosse.

It has long been our dream to play more mixed gender sports and this is an ideal opportunity to grasp the moment. There is so much cross-pollination that can be achieved, not to mention the wealth of opportunities from trying a new sport.

For the time being inter-school fixtures aren’t possible but we’ll try to find new ways to make sure our sessions are competitive, putting skills learned to the test.

I’ll add a blog on swimming next week as some great work has been taking place in the pool this week.
