Today is a multi-coloured swap shop of events as befits the penultimate day of the Autumn term. It has been an incredibly long journey to get here from the beginning of March and we’re all feeling ever so slightly light headed and a tad demob happy!

The tempo was certainly lifted first thing by everybody wearing their Christmas jumpers.

Liz continues to inspire a new generation of gardeners. This week children in Nursery and Reception took home beautiful hyacinths they had planted themselves.

Father Christmas paid us a fleeting visit delivering presents for children in Junior Prep. The lovely members of the PTFA were coincidentally here to provide sustenance for the reindeer and elves.

Determined to have some sort of festive sing song, we reinvented ourselves and sang Carols around the Fire this morning. I am really sorry you could not be with us as I know it is one of your favourite occasions to join in with. To round the occasion off Kerry and her team treat us to hot chocolate and marshmallows; light on the coffee, heavy on the marshmallows please!

We were then spoiled beyond our wildest dreams for Christmas lunch, with every trimming imaginable.

At 2pm the whole school sat down for the première of our Christmas Nativity, produced and directed by Mrs Thorpe, ably supported by all the Junior Prep teachers and filmed by our professional cinematographer, Mr Sleightholme.

The link has been sent to you by School Ping. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
