Roger Caras said, “If you don’t own a dog, at least one, there may not necessarily be anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with your life.” It’s a great quote to bear in mind.
My favourite, particularly as a die hard lab fan is, “If you’re not covered in dog hair, your life is empty.” Mrs T does not always agree with this!

At these times of stress, man’s best friend often comes to the rescue. Mandy asked for photos of you out and about with your pooches and we have been very happily inundated. It has been a pleasant distraction from Covid compliance.

It was hard to choose one for the headline shot so I plumbed for a lab. No surprise there!

Bonnie’s sister Betsy looks fantastic haring up the hedgerow with Chris. My offering goes back a generation of my labs to Molly as a pup. She started fishing at a very early age and it was her (our) favourite pastime. Bonnie is in training to follow in her noble footsteps but it takes a long time to learn the skill and patience needed (adult and dog too). As vital members of our families, dogs present and past never leave our hearts. Tomorrow I will post a much older photo of my first black lab fishing with my lovely dad. She was called Holly. You can see that I’m not an imaginative dog namer. Two syllables always ending in “y”.

What amazed me about the photos was the great similarity between dog and owner – it’s a myth that does seem to be born out in some of the photos. Even some of the dress codes are identical!
