World Book is a day to celebrate the joy of reading, and how sharing stories brings us together. What a fantastic atmosphere there has been around school today with staff and children dressing up as a favourite book character. I was especially pleased to see home-school children and staff showing off their outfits during online lessons!
In addition to dressing up, teachers have prepared special lessons with a ‘book’ focus. Mrs Fernley challenged our older children to design a book cover and complete a special quiz to win prizes. Mrs Moss also uploaded fun activities to our online learning platform ‘Seesaw’ for children to try.
We have tried to include as many photos as we can today, and thank-you to everyone who has sent a photo in form home. How many characters can you guess? Can you spot the hobbit ears?
