It was lovely to be able to welcome everyone back into school this morning. Although the clocks have changed and the days seem shorter, there are always things to look forward to this Christmas half-term!
I am sure you are aware that Covid-19 cases have been on the rise locally and Dorset County have contacted all schools advising increased precautions for the next 14 days. We are following this advice and have reintroduced face mask wearing in communal areas for staff and visitors, plus Form 7 and 8 pupils. Meetings will go back online where possible. Our aim is to maintain as normal an education for our children as possible. This is best achieved by taking simple precautions now to minimize the spread of infection and the subsequent disruption to learning.
Holiday club was a real success as usual and I must thank Miss Sawyer and Mrs Gigg for all the fabulous planned activities. You can enjoy some of the photos here. Miss Sawyer is already making plans for our Christmas Holiday Club which will take place from 20-23rd December. More details will be sent out soon.
Lastly, I hope you managed to have a good half term. I enjoyed a few days walking in the Lakes with my husband and beloved beagle Bubbles! You can see us taking a well-earned break here near the top of Helm Crag in Grasmere. We managed to find a couple of dry days in a very wet week and even saw a complete rainbow!
