There’s nothing more evocative than the humble snowdrop to conjure up images of Spring and all the hope it offers. As I walked up the school drive this morning a wave of snowdrops marked the way and what a lovely sight they were in the sunshine.

Our School Council met again this morning and Mrs Johnstone tells me she was impressed at how eloquent the children are at getting their views across and also at listening to others. A new initiative starts this Friday to offer pupils a weekly drop-in session at break. Student counsellors will be manning the desk on a rota basis and they will be setting up shop by the new council board near compass lobby.

It is Mr Stazicker’s birthday today and we all enjoyed a piece of the cake which he brought in even though it was really breakfast time! He shares his birthday with Oliver and Sukey who were both suitably dressed for the occasion.
