We are very lucky at Sunninghill to have our own in-house catering team led by Kerry. Each day they prepare and serve a healthy and delicious meal and pudding for the whole school. We are often sometimes lucky enough to get bonus treats at break-time. This week sees the return of the weekly published menu. Not only can parents see what they are missing, there is also no excuse for duplicating meals by serving the same in the evening! Next week, I am looking forward to fish & chips on Thursday.
Mrs Fernley has organised for the school library to reopen from next week. Forms 5- 8 will have the opportunity to use the library during their English lessons.
Form 5 and Form 6 will both be allocated days in the ICT suite for the next 2 weeks, allowing time for thorough cleaning of equipment between groups.
Thank-you to all children who entered Mme Shilliday’s ‘Science Week’ competition. She is looking forward to reviewing videos of the experiments.
Red Nose Day is back next Friday 19th March. We will be supporting this day with fun activities whilst raising money for charity. Children can wear home clothes and show their support by wearing red or something spotty!
I am pleased to say we are continuing with out of hour’s visits for prospective parents. Do get in touch with the school if you would like an appointment. (COVID-19 safety protocols are of course strictly followed.)
Next week, we aim to widen the BLOG authors to showcase different areas of school.
Have a lovely weekend.
