Children are enjoying having their clubs back. I started a bird club on Wednesday as I have been keen to add a feeding station on our front lawn. Photographed are a few of the children filling the new bird feeders. Due to our abundance of squirrels all feeders needed to have cages round them! Thank you to Freddy for building the feeding station for me without instructions.
We will be checking back regularly to see what sort of birds we get visiting the different feeders.
Earlier in the week I visited Reception class. My timing was most fortunate as it coincided with snack time. Tabitha’s dad had kindly brought in corn on the cob for everyone to enjoy and we all agreed they were delicious.
On Wednesday we welcomed Hanford to play our U12/13A hockey team. It was their first game for a very long time and we were definitely rusty! Maggie made some good saves from direct shots and Amelia’s tackling was spot on. Flora partnered Amelia in defence. Her timely tackles saved many attempts but congratulations to Hanford who won the match. The contribution award went to Imogen who showed some good stick control. Match tea was a blissful picnic style in glorious sunshine.
I am hoping this great weather continues as next Friday it is our first Open Morning of the year.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
