I love Autumn. I lit my wood burner for the first-time last night and was delighted to smell woodsmoke again as I arrived at school this morning. The fire had been lit in reception to welcome prospective parents to our Open Day.
Form 8 did a fabulous job running the tours and visitors were complimentary on how well the children spoke, their confidence and how helpful they were. Thank you to Mandy, our Registrar for organising the event and to Kerry, our Catering Manager, for the delicious treats which parents could take-away.
Sailing club was certainly a challenge in the high winds last night, but they were all still keen to get out on the water. Children were able to practice their capsizing drills and seemed to have a lot of fun getting very wet!
Sports matches were in full swing this week and we enjoyed playing eight hockey and football sports matches with Castle Court.
Earlier in the week, Mrs King organised a well-being event for our seniors. The visiting speakers were excellent and the event was finished off with a singing performance. Mrs King will be writing about it in a special blog on Monday.
The weather held today for the PTFA BBQ and swim. Thank you to everyone who helped organise this event. It was a great way to welcome new parents and get the whole Sunninghill community together.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
