Liz, our Head Gardener, has been leading the ‘Great Big Green Week’, celebrating action on climate change. You may remember last autumn, the school planted hedging plants given to us by the Woodland Trust. Liz organised some of the classes to get stuck in and help water and mulch the plants and it is great to see them establishing well.
The sun came out just in time this morning for gardening club which was a hive of activity. Children enjoyed eating the fruits of their labour which included home grown apples and raspberries. They also checked on the cuttings taken from the new Tudor garden and pottered around the greenhouse to plant up strawberry runners ready for next year. It was lovely to see so many different age groups getting involved!
