Music is very much part of our DNA at school and sadly many of our usual performances have been taken away from us this term. We don’t have our show spectacular, Mary Poppins to look forward to and we won’t be able to take part in the Shakespeare in Schools Festival at the Weymouth Pavilion.

This said Mrs Moss, Mrs Nolan-Stone, Mr Vanburgh and all our peripatetic music teachers are working very hard to keep momentum flowing.

Lots of online tuition is taking place, virtual choirs are forming and we are trying to have energetic group music lessons outside.

Mr V is taking over some of the Junior music lessons. He is pictured below having recounted to me the influence of wasps, daddy long legs and a whole host of insects that conspired to change the course of his Reception music class. Ten minutes of warm reassurances and he was right as rain!
