There was much excitement in school this morning. Our younger children arrived dressed up in an assortment of fairytale and medieval costumes ready for their breakfast banquet. The dining room looked spectacular with candlesticks and ivy trailing from the chandeliers! Popular costumes this year included knights, princesses and dragons but the odd storm trooper managed to sneak in to! I think my favourite characters included BFG and the gingerbread man!
After lunch, we welcomed the Hobgoblin Theatre company into school and the children were enthralled by their production of Hansel and Gretel.
During assembly this morning, we talked about Valentine’s Day and the opportunity it gives us all to appreciate those who care for us including our pets! To end the assembly, everyone enjoyed a surprise packet of mini love hearts to share at break time.
